This error appears on the Import CSV page in the Zaperon Admin Dashboard when an admin uploads a CSV file to bulk add or update users.
Error while uploading CSV file.
CSV file Uploaded but with errors.
Excel or CSV upload errors usually occur due to one or more of the following reasons:
The CSV file was not created using the Zaperon CSV template.
Mandatory fields (such as email or username) are missing or empty.
The file contains invalid data formats (for example, incorrect email format).
Extra columns were added or column headers were modified.
Duplicate user entries exist in the CSV file.
Users already exist, but contain conflicting or unsupported values.
The CSV file contains special characters or unsupported encoding.
The uploaded file is not in .csv format.
1. Download and use the correct CSV template
Go to Admin Dashboard → Users → Import CSV. Refer to Bulk users addition for detail steps.
Click Download Template
Use this template exactly as provided without changing column names or structure
Note: Always download the latest template from Zaperon dashboard before uploading users.
2. Validate required user data
Before uploading the CSV file, verify the following:
Email addresses are valid and correctly formatted
Required fields are not empty
No extra spaces before or after values
Role, group, and status values match existing configurations in Zaperon
Ensure all values align with what is supported in the Admin Dashboard.
3. Check for partial upload errors
If the upload completes but shows Errors on Users:
Click Download errors CSV.
Review the error column for each failed user entry.
Fix the listed issues in the CSV file.
Re-upload the corrected CSV.
This allows you to retry only the failed user records.
4. Avoid duplicate or conflicting entries
Ensure the same user email does not appear multiple times in the CSV
If updating existing users, verify that the data does not conflict with current user settings
Confirm that groups or roles assigned in the CSV already exist in Zaperon
